About the Journal

The Cuban Journal of Health and Work (RCST, in Spanish), founded in 1999, is a four-monthly periodical publication of the National Institute of Workers' Health (INSAT, in Spanish) of the Republic of Cuba.

It´s aimed primarily at researchers, professionals, teachers, technicians, and undergraduate students, regardless of their training and specialization, who work or investigate the health care of workers and health and safety at work, its purpose is the dissemination of scientific knowledge in this area both nationally and internationally.

THIS JOURNAL DOESN´T APPLY CHARGES FOR THE PROCESSING OR PUBLICATION OF ARTICLES.

The Journal:

- ACCEPTS the submission of articles from Preprints servers, prior notification at the time of submission

- APPLIES the modality of opening peer review, with the previous authorization of the authors and referees

- APPLIES the opening of the data, when the Editorial Committee decides, the authors will be asked to provide primary documentation (databases and other procedures)

- REQUIRES, in the case of the use of large language models (LLM), their adequate documentation in the Methods section, as well as in the case of images obtained by artificial intelligence techniques

- USES, an electronic match detection system in its editorial management to guarantee the quality of the publication and contribute to the prevention of possible plagiarism
