Abstract

Introduction: Cardiovascular hyperreactivity (HRCV) has been considered as a predictive element of hypertension. Objective: To determine the association of the cardiovascular hyperreactivity (CVHR)and the demands of the work in conditions of land. Method: We performed a descriptive correlational study of cardiovascular hyperreactivity and job demands in to 85 workers at a health center in third level of attention .They were created 2 groups: cardiovascular hyperreactive (42) and (43) Cardiovascular normorreactive, after applied the Test of Sustained Weight (TSW).To assess the demands of work questionnaire was used subjective patterns of fatigue (PSF) (Yoshitake-1978), Version 5, 1987, INSAT.For the comparison between the groups, we used the χ2 test and Student's t-Test.Results: The prevalence of CVHR was 49.4 %, there is a significant association between CVHR and age (t: 2654; gl: 83; p=0,010). 45 (52.9%) workers, 6 (7.1%) mental and 4 (4.7%) physical perceived the demands of work. Of the total of hyperreactive workers 42 (49.4%), more than half, 26 (30.6%) were in pathological values. Conclusions: in future studies could assess personality variables as the locus of control, situational demands, possibility of control and other Psychophysiological tests to establish possible relations between the demands of work and the RCV with the use of the PPS. .
