Factores sociodemográficos, antropométricos y ocupacionales asociados a accidentalidad, enfermedad y ausentismo en operarios de alimentos

Resumen

Introducción: En la industria alimentaria, los operarios se enfrentan a riesgos laborales como movimientos repetitivos y posturas forzadas. Este estudio analiza cómo factores sociodemográficos, antropométricos como el índice de masa corporal y la antigüedad en el cargo se asocian con la ocurrencia de accidentes, enfermedades laborales y el ausentismo en este sector.

Objetivo: Analizar la asociación entre factores sociodemográficos, antropométricos, antigüedad en el cargo, y la ocurrencia de accidentes laborales, enfermedad laboral calificada y ausentismo en 150 operarios de una empresa de alimentos.

Métodos: Estudio transversal analítico. Se recolectaron datos mediante encuesta estructurada y revisión de registros médicos laborales. Se aplicaron pruebas de chi-cuadrado, t de Student, ANOVA, regresión logística binaria y correlación de Spearman (α = 0,05).

Resultados: El 18,7 % reportó al menos un accidente laboral; la enfermedad laboral más frecuente fue lumbalgia (66,7 % de las enfermedades). El ausentismo se correlacionó significativamente con IMC ≥ 30 ( rho = 0,32, p = 0,01) y antigüedad > 10 años (OR= 2,8; IC 95 % 1,4-5,6). El sexo masculino mostró mayor riesgo de accidentes (OR = 3,1; p = 0,02).

Conclusiones: La accidentalidad se asocia a sexo masculino y factores ergonómicos; la obesidad y la antigüedad prolongada incrementan el ausentismo. Se requieren intervenciones diferenciadas según perfil de riesgo.
