Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the quality of working life (QWL) of greenhouse workers in Zacatecas. The study was comparative, analytical, and cross-sectional, and included a sample of 85 and 32 workers in the VICOZAC and San Cosme (SC) greenhouses, respectively. The CVT-GOHISALO instrument was applied. Data were analyzed with tests of independence. Dimensions with high percent mean low QWL. The free time administration was lower (p=0.02) in VZ's workers (68.2%) than those in SC (37.5%). A similar trend was observed in the other dimensions: personal development, well being achieved through work, job satisfaction, and job involvement. The VICOZAC's greenhouse workers showed low QWL due to their jobs were temporary, low incomes; and they were exposed to occupational activities that affected their physical and emotional health.
