Abstract

Introduction: The aging of the workforce represents a challenge for organizations, by directly impacting productivity, operational sustainability and strategic management of human talent, so it is required to review control measures.

Objective: The study presents a literature review aimed at identifying strategies for health care according to affections in the organism, modifications in working conditions, adjustments according to effects on the organism, within the framework of the OSHMS and characteristics of the organization.

Method: Through the parameters of a literature review, four databases were consulted for the organization, characterization and analysis of the content according to the aforementioned guidelines.

Results: As natural changes we found alterations in muscle strength and visual acuity. Cognitive impairment and emotional variations that may affect the working capacity. The literature reports the need for organizational practices such as ergonomic redesign of workstations, continuous training programs, flexible working hours and promotion of inclusive work environments that promote physical, mental and social wellbeing, within the framework of a predictive OSHMS with an inclusive approach, a limited aspect depending on the size of the company.

Conclusion: The need for organizations to move towards preventive, proactive and inclusive approaches, anticipating the effects of aging and transforming them into opportunities, is highlighted. In this sense, aging should be conceived as a strategic opportunity to strengthen organizational culture and build more diverse and collaborative work spaces.
