Movilidad docente: la intención de abandonar la profesión y la institución entre profesores universitarios brasileños

Introducción: Las condiciones laborales juegan un papel importante en la decisión de abandonar la docencia o la institución, provocando prejuicios al funcionamiento de las instituciones educativas y al proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje.

Objetivo: Identificar el poder predictivo de variables laborales y factores psicosociales para la Intención de abandono profesional (IAP) e Intención de abandono institucional (IAI).

Método: Participaron de la investigación 174 profesores de universidades privadas brasileñas que respondieron a un cuestionario sobre datos sociodemográficos y laborales, la Escala de Intención de Abandono y el Cuestionario Psicosocial de Copenhague. Los datos se analizaron mediante regresión lineal múltiple.

Resultados: Se identificó que cuanto menor significado del trabajo, la satisfacción con el trabajo y remuneración laboral, mayor intención de abandonar la profesión. En cuanto a la intención de abandono institucional, se observó que su aumento se produjo con una disminución de la satisfacción laboral, del tiempo de trabajo y de la percepción de la calidad de la gestión. Se sugiere un seguimiento sistemático de las intenciones de abandono profesionales e institucionales y acciones diferenciadas por tipos de abandono
